35 weeks pregnant today! It’s weird because I have 5 weeks left and Tim and I found out we were expecting at 5 weeks. It’s a little unreal to think that maybe in less than 5 weeks our house will be filled with cries, new smells and all new challenges.
On Saturday Tim and I went to Babies R Us and picked up the rest of the items that we needed for Hannah’s nursery. We picked up her mattress, the diaper champ and the changing pad and a few other little items we needed. On Sunday, I went crazy and started organizing, organizing. I still have a bit more to go and a few things left to unpack but all in all it’s ready for Hannah Monster to move in.
Hannah has been moving a lot lately and her movements are so large that Tim is able to just sit and rub my belly and play with her, it’s quite cute and amazing to feel. Tim and I have an ultrasound and an appointment tomorrow morning and Tim is able to come to it!! Hopefully we get a good measurements and a good weight gain. It most likely will be our last ultrasound before Hannah makes her arrival. I think I am going to tell my doctor if I haven’t started dilating or making progress by 38 weeks I am going to ask her to induce me. Tim and I will shoot for March 10th as the delivery date; apparently that day is International Day of Awesomeness Tim’s co-worker found it on a calendar. HAHA seems fitting. That day just seems like a good day 03-10-10. Plus, it gives me more time for my maternity leave to spend with Hannah. We’ll see if our doctor lets us do that.
Totally on a side note: Hannah just got the hiccups I can feel her little belly moving up and down every 4 seconds.
I’m still looking into daycare options and not having much luck. Some of the places are just so out of our price range and don’t look safe or inviting where other places are cheaper but they are out of someone’s home and with other children but again, not sure if we want to leave our little one with a stranger. There will be I am sure a lot more research and looking into after we have her. I am sure Tim and I’s feelings about me staying home versus childcare will change after we see our little bundle of joy.
I start weekly appointments this week and we completed our birthing classes last Thursday. So, literally all in all we are just waiting on little Hannah to start making her way out. That reminds me I need to get on my Thank You cards for the shower, I have them sitting ready, just need to fill them all out. I need to give myself a deadline or something and a quick trip to Hobby Lobby to get some more cards.
Hope everyone has a great week!
