Hi! I am at work right now bored outta my mind. I am in the last 3 weeks of work until I go on maternity leave Feb. 24th. It's going to be wierd not having any income at all coming in but I am hoping that I will just sit at home and nest for the weeks leading up to Hannah's birth.
I don't have any doctor appointments this week at all, it's kinda odd to not have to go to a doctor. I have been seeing my doctor at least once a week since Dec. 15th until last Tuesday. It's crazy!! 8 weeks of weekly doctor visits.
Last Tuesday (Jan. 26th) we had an u/s and our little Hannah wouldn't show her face, she was being a little stinker! She had her face to my spine the whole ultrasound but she did do something hilarious! It's one thing to feel Hannah move all the time and know she's moving but to see it on the ultrasound screen and feel it, it's so unreal. So, here I am lying on the u/s table and Hannah is being measured. They were trying to get a good scale and size of her little head and her hands were right next to her head. I see her little fingers moving around almost like waving, stretching and wiggling and next thing I know she has balled up her little hand into a fist and bam! right in to my stomach, then went right back to flexing and stretching. I was laughing so hard, it was hilarious!
As of last Tuesday (Jan. 26th) Hannah wieghs 3 pds 14 oz so almost 4 pounds, she is still head down and the doctor said everything looks great. My doctor wanted to continue to do u/s's every 3 weeks instead of every 2 and I start going for weekly exams on Feb. 9th.
On Saturday (Jan. 30th) it was Hannah's baby shower that my friends and family threw for Tim and I. It was so fun!! It was owl themed and pink and green just like her nursery. There was about 30 people there and I opened gifts I think for a good 2 hours. Tim and I got a lot of our big stuff we needed: crib, stroller, car seats, extra car seat base, diaper bags, diapers and our high chair. She got tons of clothes, shoes, bibs and blankets. A lot of handmade blankets which are so neat. We still need to get: Play pin, swing and a mattress for her crib. All of the other stuff we will just get as we need. I think we are going to get the rest of the stuff this weekend so her room will be complete. Last night Tim and I were playing with her stroller and her car seat and we were both trying to adjust the straps and so I grabbed my old Cappage Patch doll and stuck her in it, so funny.....
We started birthing classes last week at the hospital also. We go two more days of it and then we are done. It's pretty interesting to see everyone in there that are expecting and I think there are about 4 couples in there who go to my doctor too, so it was nice to hear the instructor know our doctor so well and how she talks about her. I just hope we have some great, funny nurses. I think I want to take a breast feeding class too there at the hospital but could stand to save $30 on the fee.
Well that's it for now, sorry for such a long post. I am so tired on my nights off and days off when I get home from work that all I want to do is sleep and rest.
I'll update some photos of Hannah's nursery now and also some preggo photos of me also. Tim and I have been really bad about not taking our weekly photos so we'll get our butts in gear.
