Today is my last day of work before I start maternity leave. I should be back in the office around May 24th or so, at least that is the plan. It’s going to be weird to not look forward to work and having something to do during the day. I guess I will have to find something FREE to do. I was thinking of visiting the public library and renting some DVD’s or baby books and then I keep thinking about what of my water breaks in the middle of the library. Oh dear, not a good sight or thought. Good thing is I would be in walking distance from the hospital. HA!
Well, we have 4 weeks to go as of yesterday until little Hannah is here. I love at work over the last two weeks anytime anyone goes to lunch or runs to the bagel shop they have been asking me and Hannah if we want anything. It’s really funny because the dudes are the ones that ask the most.
Tim is keeping busy working and looking forward to a few weeks off after Hannah is born to play and learn all about her. Bandit is getting more and more curious of the room he is no longer allowed to go in. I only let him in there with Tim and let him smell all of the Hannah’s things. He keeps eyeing all of her stuffed owls, he thinks they are his I am sure of it. Tim and I are bringing an old receiving blanket to the hospital so they can wipe Hannah with it shortly after she is born. We then can bring it home to have Bandit smell and get used to her scent, hoping to make the transition of bringing her home easier.
I am in the midst of packing my hospital bag and was able to get my toiletry bag all ready last week. I have a list for Tim in the bathroom incase of me just being in too much pain to finish packing it. I need to get a robe still and a few other things for the hospital but all in all, I think I have everything ready to go. I am sure there will be items that I will want when I get there that thank goodness we live about 4 minutes from the hospital that Tim can just jet home and grab. I am happy too that Tim can leave at night and sleep in our own bed and tidy the house before we come home with Hannah. I was telling Tim the other day that I want someone to come home and super clean and vacuum my house before we bring Hannah in. I can just tell that I will want to walk into a clean, tidy and welcoming house with her.
I always promise to post photos but just always forget when I get home and have my camera there. Tonight, I will take some and post them…promise (HA, we’ll see).
Talk to everyone soon!
