37 week appointment and hospital

Tim and I went to our 37 week appointment this morning and my BP was a bit high when they first checked it 178/78 (something like that) then when they checked again it was still high at 158/60. They measured me and I am measuring just about 37 weeks and also weighed me, a whopping 201! My doctor came in and said that they wanted to send me to the hospital because my BP was high that we could possibly have Hannah today. I must have been white as a sheet because my doctor kept asking me if I was ok. HAHA. The doctor checked me to see if I was dilated and she said that she could get one finger in and the Hannah's head was high. So, I got dressed and headed to the hospital.

The minute Tim and I walked out of the doctor office it felt like my water had broken cause I got this gushing feeling and it didn't feel that great. Since, we were heading to the hospital we just decided to wait until we got to the hospital to let them check me out. In the parking lot I reached down to my pants near my womanly parts and my hand was full of blood. Kind of shocking to see, Tim then said my pants were all bloody.

We got in Tim's car and headed to the block to the hospital. Once arrived, we checked in and told the nurses that I thought my water had broken. I got into triage and then got into a gown and went to use the restroom to leave a urine sample. Well, then I thought I lost my mucus plug so I didn't flush the toilet so the nurse could see. Turns out my water hadn't broken and it wasn't the mucus plug - my nurse Pat said that most likely the blood was from my doctor stripping my membranes. I was not told that she was doing that but we learned in our birthing classes that doctors do that often.

My BP steadily went down and all of my blood work and lab results came back fine. I go back on Thursday morning to do the same thing and then have a follow up appointment with my doctor right after. Hannah should be here soon.

I'll try to keep everyone updated! ;)
