Crazy few weeks

Last Tuesday Tim and I went to our 26 week appointment. We had an regular check up and then an ultrasound later in the day. We went in at 11am and they checked for her heartbeat and she was so funny she kicked the doppler really hard. Her heartbeat was 154 beats per minute. We were measuring well and my blood pressure was great.

We went back at 2pm after we ate at Oregano's and were ready to see our little girl on the ultra sound screen. They showed us her cute little face, then started measuring. At our last appt she was in the 10% range of growth in babies at her gestational age and this week we were told she was now at 6%. The ultrasound tech took some measurements and then told us she needed to go and talk with the doctor.

She left us in the room to kinda wonder what was happening. We were told to go into a exam room and wait for the PA Mimi to come in. When Mimi came in, she advised that I was going to be put on bed rest until further notice. I was sad but knew that if this was going to help Hannah grow then that's fine.

We were put on bed rest which means that I can only get up to shower, pee and eat. My blessed mom and dad came over the first few days and did laundry, cleaned my house and just chit chatted, which was so nice. Kartika came over on Thursday night and brought me magazines and healthy snacks later that night Jessica and Jim brought spaghettli and chicken and it was yummy. My mom has been taking me to a lot of my appts with me, she is such a dear. Tim's parents came over on Friday night and brought dinner and then dropped me off at my parents house, cause Tim was at a show in Prescott and wouldn't be home until late.

My mom and I went to a perinatal specialist last Thursday and the doctor talked so fast. She gave me some good information and gave us some information to think about. I rested a lot over the weekend and then today my mom and I went to see our regular doctor for a follow up. We got to hear Hannah's heartbeat and then were given more information. I am to remain on bed rest and then at 30 weeks need to get twice a week exams at the hospital for 2 hours to monitor her heartbeat. My doctor does was want me to be a bit more active but no stress and listen to my body.

I will update more as the next weeks go by. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.
