Today marks our 28th week, the last trimester, the last 12 weeks. It's been a long road filled with morning sickness, unexpected news of Hannah being small, delights of finding out were having a baby girl, discomfort since 6 months sleeping but i think in the end it will all be worth it and that is what I am looking forward to - THE END.
Bed rest has been very uneventful and I'm quite frankly hating it. I think I'm going stir crazy in this house. I made a decision today that I can be lazy and do the same thing every day or I can do something productive and what I enjoy. So....I decided to get a jump start on my Thank You cards for my bridal shower which is in 34 days. I need to make about 70 of them but they will be homemade and super cute. Tim and I cleaned up Hannah's room a bit and organized some Christmas gifts we got for her, mostly diapers and some organizational items.
Wednesday morning is our next ultrasound and then hopefully we have a better look at how she is growing and if bed rest is helping. I am hoping I can head back to work next week at least part time to get me out of the house and clean up some loose ends before really heading off on maternity leave.
I have been feeling Hannah lower in my stomach so I am hoping she has dropped and have turned. I really don't want to have to have a c-section but if so I am ready either way. We now can see Hannah moving on the surface when she moves and kicks. It's quite amazing. She had the hiccups last night at about 4am and about every 4 seconds a little bump in my belly would rise, her little chest must have been working up a storm. Poor little girl. Guess I shouldn't have eaten those cinnamon bears right before bed. HAHA.
At Christmas I did a lot of resting at my moms house on the couch. Laughed at Cody run around the entire night, so funny. Slept for 1.5 hours at Tim's parents couch on Christmas day and was in the whole mix of it at Grandma Alice's house - not much room to lay down or rest there but I did get to hold Baby Macie - Kelle and Stu's little girl. I let Tim hold her and he was just so amazed by how small her hands were. It was quite amazing to see a baby in his arms, next will be our little girl, Hannah.
The baby shower invites will go out this week and hoping that Hannah stays in my belly that long to get to the shower. The doctor wants Hannah to stay in my belly until at least 32 weeks which is the week of the shower. STAY HANNAH, STAY!
Well I'll update on Wednesday night after we see Hannah again, it says in our weekly email that we should be able to see hair and eyelashes this week. Hope we can on the 4D ultrasound.
See ya!
